Antique Bakhtiyari 6'9" x 10'3" #56


It was woven by the Bakhtiyari tribe's weavers in the early 20th c. with hand spun wool and vegetable dyes. Field is decorated with the flowers of the South Western Caucasus' flowers some of which are coming out of vases. The rug has been restored in a few places.  It has lush and thick pile for its age.  Due to being made for a local, it has odd shape for the American market.
